It’s my pleasure to announce that National AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka will be attending the Montana AFL-CIO’s Annual Convention this year in Helena, Montana. He will be speaking at our Leadership Luncheon at the Great Northern Hotel at 11:30 AM on Friday, June 24th.I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to join us for our luncheon.
President Trumka leads the 12.5 million-member AFL-CIO, the largest organization of labor unions in the United States. Trumka is the nation’s clearest voice on the critical need to protect worker rights, establish fair trade agreements, raise workers’ wages, while advocating for social and economic justice. He leads the labor movement’s efforts to create an economy based on broadly shared prosperity and to hold government and employers accountable to working families.
Trumka’s economic advocacy spans the world. He has rallied international labor support for workers struggling for justice and pressed to end unfair trade practices that subject workers in foreign countries to abject poverty while at the same destroying U.S. manufacturing base.
I hope to see allies and friends at this luncheon and hope you’re able to attend. If you cannot attend and would like to send a designee, please feel free to do so.
