    A Lifesaving Tradition.
    A Partnership for Progress.

For more than 60 years, IAFF has supported MDA with an unwavering drive and relentless passion. To date, the IAFF has raised over $583 million for MDA to support families with muscle-debilitating diseases and accelerate treatments and cures. With our collective strength, we work together to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harm of muscle-debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life.

At MDA, we take a big picture perspective across the full spectrum of neuromuscular diseases to uncover scientific and medical breakthroughs that accelerate treatments and cures. The power in our research approach is that we can often apply learnings from one disease to progress in others to bring urgently-needed answers to our families. Last year alone, the FDA approved a treatment for periodic paralysis, two Duchenne muscular dystrophy drugs reached the formal regulatory review stage, genetic therapies were tested in the clinic for ALS and spinal muscular atrophy and so much more progress was made in this fight!

    Thank You!

**IF YOUR LOCAL IS HIGHLIGHTED ABOVE, PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH YOUR BOOT DATE!!  I DON’T HAVE YOU IN MY CALENDAR AND I NEED TO GET YOU IN!!  THANK YOU!!

In 2015, Montana was one of the few districts in the NATION that had 100% IAFF participation with the Fill The Boot program!  Let’s keep that going and break the $200,000 mark for the first time EVER!!!  We had a lot of record breakers last year and I know we’ll have more in 2016.  More and more departments are following the national trend and going out for more than one day.  A good lot of you are doing TWO DAYS this year and we are so excited to see our Boots grow!

*Sorry to Helena and Kalispell for not having you on the same lines as the other departments!!  They didn’t make enough room on the template for all of the departments so I had to improvise J
